PRINCIPAL PATENT ATTORNEY

I have extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, conducting opposition proceedings and performing patentability, freedom-to-operate, infringement and patent landscape analyses.

I have represented clients in a range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, therapeutic and diagnostic antibodies, cancer immunotherapies, gene editing, genetics and genomic selection, RNA interference, vaccines, transgenic plants and animals, and food technology.

I graduated from La Trobe University with a BSc (Hons) majoring in genetics and completed a PhD in molecular biology and immunology at RMIT University and the CSIRO Australian Animal Health Laboratory. I undertook postdoctoral research at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research investigating enzymes as targets for drug discovery and have published several scientific articles in peer reviewed international journals.

Away from the desk I enjoy playing guitar and heading out on the trails for a run.
