My technical expertise is in organic chemistry with a speciality in natural products, as well as biochemistry, polymers, formulations, pharmaceuticals, small molecule / immunotherapy, microbiology (specialising in virology), and cancer.  I apply my expertise in developing patent and design prosecution strategies before the Australian and New Zealand Patent Offices, and opposition proceedings before the Australian Patent Office.

I have a BSc and a MSc from universities in the U.S. and a PhD from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, in the field of molecular virology.  My postdoctoral work was at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and the Prince of Wales Hospital creating viral vectors for immunotherapy. 

Subsequently, I joined Spruson & Ferguson as a patent agent and later became an associate, culminating into equity partnership at Pizzeys Patent Attorneys. 

My passion away from the desk is downhill skiing, but I wish my skill matched that passion. When not in winter, I enjoy bushwalking and geocaching with my family.
